Born from a mutual admiration for one another’s work, this collaboration between LÖF and Cuban artist Diango Hernández brings together two distinct creative worlds. A shared appreciation for art, craftsmanship and the beauty of unexpected details made this partnership a dream come true.
Sculptural and playful, the Olaista Buckle transforms an everyday object into a miniature work of art. Designed to replace an existing watch buckle or sit within an additional hole on the strap, much like a brooch, it offers a new way to wear and enjoy fine jewellery.
A meeting of art and adornment, the piece celebrates the joy of creating something beautiful, personal and a little unexpected.
Presented in a specially designed collector’s box, the collaboration is as much about the pleasure of the object as the experience of owning it.

Diango Hernández

Born in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, in 1970, Diango Hernández draws inspiration from his childhood by the sea, where he first experienced a profound sense of freedom and completeness.
After studying Industrial Design in Havana, Hernández moved to Düsseldorf in the early 2000s. His multidisciplinary work explores memory, identity and transformation, and has been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, Biennale of Sydney, São Paulo Biennial and Hayward Gallery in London.
He lives and works between Düsseldorf and Havana.
