Volume II: Ridges

Ridges began in a library in China, where sweeping shelves curved around the room in an extraordinary succession of lines, light and shadow. There was something captivating about their repetition, the way each curve followed another, creating a sense of movement within an otherwise solid structure.

I wanted to explore that same rhythm in gold, moving away from the angular forms of Passages towards something softer, fuller and more sculptural.

The result is a collection defined by fluted surfaces, rounded silhouettes and generous volume. Light travels across each ridge before disappearing into the grooves between them, giving even the simplest forms a wonderful sense of depth.

The Édith designs explore this idea across different scales, from the slender fluting of the Stick Ring to the sweeping curves of the Drop Cuff, finished with a single pear-shaped diamond. Alongside them, the bombé cocktail rings celebrate volume and colour, their domed forms designed to reveal something different from every angle.

Ridges is an exploration of repetition, texture and the beauty of a simple form made extraordinary through its surface.
