Sustainability
At LÖF, sustainability is not an afterthought, it is an intrinsic part of our identity. Every piece we create is a testament to our commitment to environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing, and circularity in luxury jewelry.
Ethical Stones & Recycled Metals
We source our gemstones with the utmost care, prioritizing natural and ethically mined stones. Our commitment to responsible sourcing means we work with suppliers who uphold stringent labor and environmental standards, ensuring that every stone we use is free from conflict and extracted with minimal ecological impact. Additionally, we integrate recycled metals into our designs, reducing the demand for newly mined materials and helping to close the loop on waste in the jewelry industry. By repurposing precious metals without compromising on quality, we honor both craftsmanship and sustainability.
Positive Luxury & Climate Action
LÖF is currently undergoing assessment for the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark, a globally recognized certification for luxury brands committed to sustainability, governance, and social responsibility. This rigorous process evaluates our environmental footprint, responsible business practices, and efforts to drive positive change within the industry.
Beyond our materials and design choices, we actively work to mitigate our climate impact. As part of Climate Ostrom, we are engaging in collaborative efforts to measure, reduce, and offset our carbon footprint. Our sustainability strategy includes investment in carbon removal initiatives, circularity programs, and transparent reporting on our progress.
By intertwining bold aesthetics with uncompromising sustainability, LÖF redefines luxury and creates jewelry that not only captivates but also contributes to a better future
Responsible Sourcing at LÖF
We are committed to sourcing our materials with integrity, transparency, and care. Our practices are guided by the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and focus on improving governance and inclusivity in regions where gold and gemstones are sourced.
By 2030, we aim to:
- Fully trace and disclose our gold and gemstone supply chain
- Implement a formal due diligence framework
- Support community-led programs that advance gender equity and governance in mining regions
- Contribute annually to inclusive sourcing initiatives
- Report our progress with transparency and accountability
Our journey is ongoing, but the intention is clear: to build a fine jewelry business rooted in ethics as much as design.
